Park on a flat surface and loosen the wheel lug nuts. Lift the car with a jack and secure it with jack stands. Remove the wheel. Open the hood and locate the strut mount bolts on top of the strut tower. Unbolt the strut from the steering knuckle and the strut tower. Use a spring compressor to safely remove the coil spring if needed.
